DOGPATCH

Come for the sun, stay for the food, locally brewed beer and stunning bay views. This historic San Francisco neighborhood once was the industrial center of the West Coast. The streets were buzzing with hard working shipbuilders, steel workers, and merchants. Rare 1850’s architecture that survived the 1906 earthquake are still standing on Tennessee and Minnesota Streets, between 22nd and 20th.

Today the Dogpatch is booming with innovative entrepreneurs, artist and new development projects. The Dogpatch may be rapidly changing, but locals are dedicated to preserving the neighborhood’s historic heart and soul. Neighbors take pride in being San Francisco’s first Green Benefit District. Expect some hills and missing sidewalks around warehouses, but overall an effortless stroll with multiple green spaces to enjoy. This mixed-use community is a peaceful retreat from downtown.
